What is the difference between single medical pendant and double medical pendant?

Single medical pendant and double medical pendant can be easily distinguished from the name. One medical pendant installed on the base is a single medical pendant, and two medical pendant installed on the same base are double medical pendants. Generally speaking, the medical pendant refers to the form of single medical pendant, which is widely used.

Twin medical pendants are generally common in operating rooms and ICUs that require a lot of room size, equipment quantity, and gas and electricity supply.

Some operating rooms will install double medical pendants on the side of the operating bed and above the anesthesia machine. The medical pendant on one side provides the basic gas and electricity requirements of the anesthesia machine (gas terminal, strong and weak electrical sockets), and provide patients with infusion needs (infusion rods, infusion pumps, strong and weak electrical sockets) on the other side. At the same time, a total of three display screens are installed on the twin medical pendants, which can provide real-time monitoring, surgical images, and case feedback. Effectively achieve efficient utilization in a compact room. Another common double medical pendant application in the operating room is to integrate the endoscope medical pendant and mingtai surgical medical pendant. The double medical pendants are generally installed on the foot side of the operating table. In this way, one medical pendant is used as a surgical medical pendant and the other medical pendant is used as an endoscope medical pendant, which is suitable for laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and other laparoscopic surgery.

In ICU, the application of twin towers is more extensive, especially in isolated single rooms or VIP single rooms with a slightly larger room area. Like the suspension bridge, the twin towers can also be effectively separated from wet and dry through two suspension towers. One suspended tower of the twin towers is used as a wet zone to install infusion pumps, syringe pumps, oxygen flow meters, negative pressure suction devices and other equipment that has liquid passing through, and the other suspended tower is used as a dry zone to install monitors, ventilators, disposable consumables, etc. In this way, the dry and wet areas are completely separated, and the care and management of ICU patients becomes safe and reliable. In addition, the twin towers are more convenient to move than a suspension bridge. The cantilever system can not only be positioned horizontally like a suspension bridge, but also can be positioned longitudinally. In this way, the patient's head area has more space, and routine care such as oxygen inhalation and sputum suction is safer and more convenient.
